Description


The Teddy Bear Bee and the Blue Banded Bee are just two of 350 types of native bees that live in the Sydney area. Most Australian bees don't live in hives - they live in dirt or in hollow stems or holes in trees.

In this workshop kids will find out about our native bees and make a bee hotel to take home.

Where: The Calyx, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
Who: Suitable for children 6 - 12 years (for adult classes see here)
When: Thursday 25th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January | 10:00am - 11:00am, 11:30am - 12:30pm, or 2:30pm - 3:30pm
Cost: $20 per child. Each ticket includes your bee hotel kit which you will make in the workshop and take home
