Description

A foundation course for Health Professionals contemplating or having commenced experiences in student placement/clinical education

This two day workshop (9.00am-4.00pm) is aimed at health professionals working in the field, who are interested in learning more about supervising and working with students.

Workshop content will include; preparing for placements, workplace learning, feedback, assessment and goal setting in placements. Specific modules looking at the impact of language and cultural competence, and dealing with difficult students will also be covered. There will be an opportunity to network with other placement educators, and to complete practical sessions looking at scenarios and problem solving situations related to workplace learning and students.

Presenters

The presenters are experienced academic staff from Flinders University, actively involved in placement coordination and supporting placement educators.
