Event description

Description

Pilgrimage to St Patrick’s Colebrook begins on Saturday 3rd March from St John the Evangelist Church, St John’s Circle at Richmond, and will finish on Sunday 4th March at St Patrick’s Church in Colebrook. The pilgrimage route involves walking along rural roads, and through some private farming property.

Archbishop of Hobart, Julian Porteous DD
I invite you to join me in pilgrimage.

My brothers and sisters in Christ,

Tasmania lends itself to pilgrimage. The Island State is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, and a rich Catholic heritage.

I warmly invite you to join me on a pilgrimage designed especially for people between 18 and 35 years of age. Together, we will walk from Australia’s oldest Catholic Church, St John’s in Richmond, via the Coal River Valley, to Colebrook – site of St Patrick’s Church.

Pilgrimage to St Patrick’s Colebrook offers us all a chance to walk quietly, to reflect, to think, and of course to chat with other pilgrims along the way. I know that you will enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Coal River Valley, just as much as the fellowship that flows from people walking together in faith.
I encourage you to register immediately as spaces are limited. I look forward to welcoming you to the second annual Pilgrimage to St Patrick’s Colebrook.

Yours in Christ

+Julian Porteous
