A fundraiser for the making of the documentary about the human drama that played out on Lesbos when 400k refugees landed on its shores.

About this Event

PHILOXENIA, can be best described as antonym to xenophobia. It is a welcoming of strangers in their time of need. Watch the teaser below to learn more about our impending documentary.

Come and support award winning director Anne Tsoulis and producer Alison Wotherspoon to make their documentary, Philoxenia, with a night of dancing to the wonderful Greek rembetika band Meraki Ensemble, and entertainment with magician Kevin Kopfstein - man of mystery and mirth, with a special appearance by Syrian musicians Zuhir Naji and son Abdul Rahman , and Afghani musicians Farid Drokhshan & son Shaheen Drokhshan, along with a fencing demonstration, raffles, games, silent auction, and door prizes! Mezes provided on tables. Souvlakia and light food and drinks also available for purchase.
