Would you like to be part of a Global Event? Then come join us for the international Great Cloth Diaper Change!
We are excited to be joining with Market on Chapel to host this event in Cowes to bring awareness to the many benefits of using modern cloth nappies, as well as gather cloth nappy lovers from around Phillip Island and the Bass Coast to take part in a fun event connecting cloth nappy users around the world!
On April 22 at 11am we'll be joining Australia's final attempt to break the world record for the "Most Cloth Nappies Changed in a 24 Hour Period at Multiple Venues". We hope to raise awareness about the ease and environmental benefits of cloth nappies.
Come along and join in a worldwide event!
You don't need to use cloth, in fact, if you don't this is the perfect event to come to and see how amazing the new modern cloth nappies are.
The way it works is at an allocated time we all enter a 'changing area' and at the signal change our babies from a cloth or disposable nappy (whatever they happen to be wearing at the time) into a 100% reusable nappy. It's not a race, we just all have to begin the change at the same time, we'll then submit our results along with all the other events around the globe and wait to see if we've broken a cloth record with our tots bots!
Guidelines for participation:
Child whose nappy will be changed must be 39 inches (99.1cm) or shorter.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult (one adult cannot change two or more children, each child must have a dedicated nappy changer!)
Each child must be changed into a cloth, 100% reusable nappy. It does not matter what type of nappy a child arrives in.
At the start signal, all participants must remove their child’s nappy and properly put on a 100% reusable cloth nappy (there's no time limit; it's not a race!).
An official record photo will be taken before the change and after the change. No photos or videos are permitted to take place during the change. Photos and videos will be taken at other times during the event.
Each child must be changed into a cloth, 100% reusable nappy. It does not matter what type of nappy a child arrives in. If you do not own a cloth nappy, please email us after registering and we will arrange one for you.
Any 100% reusable cloth nappy can be used. This includes prefolds, flats, nappies made by WAHMs and purchased on Etsy, as long as it's 100% reusable.
When a parent arrives for the event, their baby can be in a disposable or a cloth nappy. Their baby must, however, be changed into a 100% reusable cloth nappy.
Hybrid nappies that use disposable inserts are NOT allowed as they are not 100% reusable however disposable/flushable liners are allowable as they are not a part of the nappy itself.
Who is welcome
The whole family is welcome to come along we're hoping this will be a fantastic community family fun day!
Only those adults and children particpating in the Change will be allowed in the official changing area, so if you're bringing along other children, make sure you have someone else with you who can supervise them.
