Description

Philip Wollen, Australian philanthropist, vegan and animal rights activist, has a great many other honours and achievements to his name, including appointments as Vice-President of Citibank and GM at Citicorp, in 2005 he received a Medal of the Order of Australia, and was Australian of the Year (Victoria) in 2007. He currently heads up Winsome Constance Kindness (www.kindnesstrust.com), a global initiative set up to promote kindness towards all other living beings, including human and non-human animals. Philip has spoken to large audiences (sometimes thousands of people) at innumerable events, including the Parliament in The Hague, the Israeli Knesset Parliament and at congresses and conferences at many universities and convention centres around the world. Now hear him talk at UQ Sustainability Week on the greatest social justice movement of our time, “Ethics, Peace and Occam’s Razor….the Enchanted Web”. Please arrive at 10:45am for an 11:00am start.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not have to bring your printed ticket to the event. We will have a list at the door of the names of people who have registered so we can check off your name when you arrive.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

We have a limited number of tickets available and expect that the event will sell out, so if you register but realise later that you are no longer able to attend, please get in touch with the organiser via email at c.mccoy@uq.edu.au. Alternatively, please offer your ticket to someone else who has not yet registered but who wishes and is able to attend.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
