An interactive and informative workshop to provide an opportunity to build clearer direction and networks for your career post PhD.

About this event

Being a PhD student navigating the transition from university-based research to establishing a career can often feel daunting or overwhelming . To help out with this, we are putting together a PhD Career Pathway workshop to be held face-to-face in August 2022.

The workshop aims to bring together PhD students with several mentors who will share their own career journey, as well as the practical measures for PhD students to consider when embarking upon their own career – whether in academia, industry, clinical research or government and policy. The workshop will provide plenty of networking opportunities- an invaluable resource for this next chapter and beyond.

The day will kick off with a light lunch - the chance to fuel up and network with peers and mentors alike, followed by keynote presentations, then wrapping up with an afternoon of dynamic 'meet your mentor' sessions and afternoon tea.

Some of the mentors you'll be able to meet and work with on the day include:

Dr. George Sharbeen, Professor Paul Timpson, Professor Jeff Holst, Dr. Orin Chisolm, A/Prof Cleola Anderiesz and many more!
