Do you have a DSLR camera but struggle to use it? Or just want to improve your animal photography? This 3 hour workshop with leading animal photographer Alex Cearns of Houndstooth Studio can help you learn how easy it can be to take wonderful natural light pet and wildlife images.

Alex is a successful and highly regarded photographic educator. She has helped hundreds of people across Australia improve their confidence using a DSLR camera and learn how to take better animal photography.

Her fun and easy to understand style makes her a natural teacher as she generously shares her knowledge and techniques to help you create that WOW factor with your photography.

This workshop will comprise:

• jargon-free, technical instruction to suit your level of knowledge

• practical instruction on the easiest way to use your camera

• how to get off the 'auto' setting

• how to master focus and manual settings

• how to move and photograph around animals

• how to take sharp shots, shoot in low light and avoid blurry photos

• what to look for to improve photo composition

• self-assessment of your own images

• what to do next to take your photography further

Australian photographer Alex Cearns crafts exquisite animal portraits that convey the intrinsic joy people find in animals. As Creative Director of Perth based Houndstooth Studio, she photographs around 1300 animals per year. Her clients include engaged pet lovers, leading corporate brands and around 40 Australian and international animal charities and conservation organisations. Her images have been published extensively in worldwide media, books, magazines and ad campaigns.

An undisputed leader in her niche, Alex is the recipient of more than 250 awards for her photography, business and philanthropy.
