Event description

Description

Trail Running through Serpentine National Park! Join us for a 11.8km or 14.9km fun filled trail run.

Whether you're back for another round in the "Summer Series" or brand new to trail running, this event is not to be missed! We get adventurous types who've accomplished plenty of other fitness achievements maybe a half, full or even ultra marathon! Trails are fun and open to everyone.

We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! We'll also have assistants at key intersections to help you stay on track, and giving out high 5's!

Not only that, but we've got a quirky "Snake" theme, and an awesome community that make our events so special.

Courses will be well flagged - and marshalled at a few key intersections. We will do our best to keep you on course, but it is your responsibility to keep aware of the flagging.

Please check out our website for all the event specifics

FAQs:

What am I required to bring?

1. You must carry a hydration system that will hold a minimum of 500ml for the duration of the event. This could be a handheld, a pack, or a waist belt. We recommend most runners carry at least 1 ltr.

2. You must wear your race bib at all times during the event.

3. A positive, prepared for anything attitude!

What will I be running on?

Course Description: This race is the flattest of all races in the Summer Series, which may ease the newer trail runner in gently. However, be prepared for single track, a few rock/boulder sections, and loose sand. The short and long course follow the same course for several kilometres, until the long course racers deviate in order to get their 7 km bonus in an out-and-back section. Here, there will be good opportunity to check out how far ahead or behind your competition is and cheer on fellow runners.

Is there an Aid Station?

There will be one aid station for the Long Course ONLY at approximately halfway, providing water and carbohydrates in the form of fruit and electrolytes (so bring your reusable, collapsible cup!) Depending on race day weather, a second aid station may be provided.

When do I collect my Race Bib?

Race bib pickup for Snakes N Ladders is on Sunday 20 January 2019 (event day) at the Start/Finish area from 6:00am - 6:50am (long course and short course).

Will I receive more information?

Yes! The Wednesday prior to the event we send out a PRE RACE email.

It will include all the specifics to help you be best prepared for the day.

What time does my race start?

7:00am Race Briefing *everyone must attend!

7:10am Long Course Start

7:25am Short Course Start

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age of 16 with written permission from parent.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Transport is not included in the event registration cost. We encourage you to carpool to our events.

Parking options are in the PRE RACE BRIEF which gets emailed out on Wednesday prior to the event.

When does registration close?

Registration closes Tuesday prior to the event (15 January 2019) unless sold out earlier.

What's the refund policy?

There will be a 90% refund of entry fees if written notification is received at least 3 weeks before the event in question (i.e., the Sunday occurring 21 days/3 weeks before the event). There will be a 60% refund of entry fees if written notification is received no less than 10 days before the particular event in question (i.e., by Wednesday 11:59 PM 10 days prior to race day). There will be no refund after that date for any reason including rescheduling or cancellation due to any natural disaster or Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPaW) trail closure. Entries may be transferable to another individual in exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of the race series director. Participants cancelling due to injury who are available to volunteer at an event (and are needed) are likely to receive a transfer of entry to a future event.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your ticket is non-transferrable. If you wish to upgrade your distance, you will be charged the difference plus an admin cost of $10. If you wish to downgrade, no refund of entry fees will be provided.

Can I give it to a mate?
