This 1-day workshop is based on your own live influencing situations and is thefore highly interactive.

It is for ANZ staff only and is suitable for any staff who needs to influence stakeholders in situations such as:

  • The need to win buy-in for an initiative or en­courage change within or outside the bank.
  • The need to influence across a myriad of cultures, functions, silos or competing priorities.
  • The need for a support function to develop good working relationships with their internal clients and add value to the business.
  • The need for leaders to motivate and influence their team to achieve their goals and overcome any resistance.
  • The need to influence without position­al power.

As a result, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a strategic approach for influencing across a network of stakeholders.
  • Build rapport and develop relationships with a broad range of people and personalities.
  • Appear credible and win people’s trust.
  • Ask and listen effectively to understand the issues and what really motivates people.
  • Articulate a persuasive proposition, argument or point of view.
  • Explain a concept clearly so that it is easily understood.
  • Appear confident and composed even when under pressure.
  • Express a proposition or point of view with belief and enthusiasm.
  • Overcome any lingering resistance or objections to a proposition and win genuine buy-in for the proposition.
