Session 1: What is Performance Pedagogy?

This session will focus on high impact inquiry pedagogies and strategies that engage student learners and develop critical thinking using scaffolded approaches. The session will provide practical examples that promote students to analyse key concepts, recognise and justify differences and create new interpretations based on relevant evidence or data.
Session 2: Planning with the edge: tipping over into high quality tasks and substantive knowledge
Date: Wednesday 25 May 2022
Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
This session will focus on planning teaching tasks, problem-based learning scenarios and relevant units of work that develop connections to substantive concepts in the topics and promote students to undertake cognitive challenges.
Session 3: Assessing what matters: how to use data in your day-to-day teaching to make it count
Date: Wednesday 1 June 2022
Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
This session focuses on how data and feedback can inform learning and different modes and approaches to analysing data. The use of self- assessment to measure aspects of learner self-efficacy will be presented to complement assessment strategies.
