Description

Discover the local history, stories, language and culture of the Peramangk people at four Adelaide Hills Community Centres, and reflect on Reconciliation with Peramangk Elder Ivan Tiwu Copley.

Tuesday Evenings 7-9pm; Free Entry - Bookings required; Light supper provided

Come to one evening, or come to all, as each session will offer insights that are unique to the local area.

Talk 1: 22nd May: Torrens Valley Community Centre, 45 Albert Street, Gumeracha; Bookings: adelaidehillscouncil.eventbrite.com

A focus of this talk will be on women and their unique cultural and traditional practices that were influenced by the local environment.

Talk 2: 29th May: The Summit Community Centre, 1 Crescent Dr, Norton Summit; Bookings: adelaidehillscouncil.eventbrite.com

A focus of this talk will be on the unique communication methods between people from the plains to the hills.
