Event description
You’re invited to attend a virtual information session where you can ask questions and give feedback on our new City Park.

About this Event

Penrith City Council is transforming the Penrith City Centre and unlocking the precinct to major opportunities with the delivery of a new $12 million City Park. At approximately 7,000sqm, City Park will be a significant open space in a prime location on the corner of Henry and Station Streets, Penrith.

City Park will be a vibrant, thriving, green space with something for everyone and plenty of opportunities to meet, retreat, eat, be active and celebrate together. These aspects are expected to strengthen its appeal as a destination for residents, workers, and visitors and stimulate the day and night time economy.

Concept Design

In early 2020, Council commissioned award-winning Landscape Architects, JMD Design, to prepare the design concept for City Park. The recently delivered concept design gives us an exciting glimpse into the future of Penrith’s new urban park.

The community’s vision for City Park as a natural retreat in the heart of the City Centre is starting to take shape with the concept featuring a variety of large shady trees, a sensory garden, water features and natural landscaping.

There’s also space for everyone to meet, retreat, eat, be active and celebrate together with these aspects set to stimulate the day and night time economy by attracting locals, visitors and investors.

The information sessions

Please join us for an online information session where you will hear from JOC Consulting, JMD Design and Penrith City Council on the progress of the park design so far. Your participation in this session will help create an iconic, central urban retreat with an expansive green space and a well-designed cool refuge. Approximately 7,000sqm on the corner of Station and Henry St, the Park will be a large and central attraction for locals, visitors and businesses.

This online event will take place via teleconference platform Zoom. A link and further instructions on how to join the virtual session to be sent to you after registration.

There are two sessions, and both require pre-registration.
