Event description
An explanation of, and practical tips for wellbeing, for 15-19 year-olds.

About this event

This workshop is free to 15-19 year old participants in the Ipswich/Somerset/Lockyer/Redland Local Government Areas* - jointly funded under the Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018.

Places on this workshop are usually $229pp.

Aged 15-19 years? Lifeline Training Queensland invites you to take a day out of your busy work and study schedules to focus on your wellbeing with us.

Gain skills and knowledge to take care of your wellbeing, so you're more prepared for those times when things pile up, and to support your mates too.

YOU ME WE is a one-day holistic wellbeing workshop for young people aged 15-19 years (10-18 years in an agency or school setting) that provides information, practical tips and skills practice using the Wheel of Wellbeing framework and key themes of the Peer Skills program.

This workshop stands alone, or can be run in a young person service as a precursor or refresher to our two-day Supportive Relationships for Young People workshop.

The components of You Me We represent the three levels of support:

• You – interest in peers and friends and supporting others

• Me – strategies and skills that benefit the individual

• We – flow on effects to school, family and community

This workshop will run:

Day 1 - 9am-3:00pm

What we cover in the workshop:

  • What is wellbeing?
  • Introduction to the Wheel of Wellbeing
  • What are values and how do they relate to our wellbeing?
  • What is stress? Ways of preventing and dealing with stress.
  • Resources and supports for when stress overcomes our personal strategies.
