Pedagogy for Stage 6 Physics (Video Conference 20/03)

Due to COVID-19, we are running an abbreviated version of this workshop via Zoom, a video conference platform. Registered deligates will be given access instructions.

Join our brand new workshop designed to improve knowledge and understanding for teaching the new Y11 and HSC Physics courses. This workshop will be of value to both new and experienced Physics teachers. The focus will be to keep our students motivated and engaged while meeting the rigorous demands of high school Physics.

Activities will include:

• looking at learning opportunities from the 2019 HSC exam

• improving pedagogical skills with consideration to tempo and maintaining a balance between theory and practical requirements

• successful mathematical approaches

• integrating exam preparation and revision

Completing Pedagogy for Stage 6 Physics on 20 March 2020 will contribute 2.5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.1.2 and 6.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
