Workshop details:

The academic context is changing and PTE Academic is keeping pace. This computer-based test is fast becoming the academic test of choice around the world, evidenced by the recent surge in the number of test takers.

PTE Academic is significantly different from the more traditional tests available for academic and immigration purposes. The difference is not just in its delivery mode, but also with the item types: 20 different item types with 11 testing integrated skills. With the increasing demand for preparation courses, teachers need to understand the test in order to effectively prepare their students.

Louise FitzGerald and Richard Swanson will conduct this complimentary workshop. It will help you to jumpstart PTE Academic language classes in your institution. Certificates of attendance will be provided to attendees.

The workshop will cover:

• Introduction to the test

• The structure of the test

• Skills tested and scoring, with some scored sample tasks and tips for approaching the test item

• Introduction to the preparation resources available

Light refreshments will be provided.
