Description

This discussion will consider what sustainable tourism means for Tasmania, where the pressure points of tourism growth lie, and how these should be managed. Refreshments from 5:30pm.

Tasmania is facing phenomenal growth in tourism. While the industry is still stimulating economic development, there are also challenges. Small businesses are growing but increased visitor numbers has been blamed for overcrowding, and the community complains over the future of tourism in Tasmania.
