Join us for a practical "hands-on" Mathematics workshop with the states leading Mathematics specialist, author and highly sought after speaker.

This workshop will immerse participants in the development of mathematical literacies in the early years and the linking of practical ideas to encompass a whole school approach to numeracy.

Dr Paul Swan will inspire confidence and he demonstrates how mathematics can be used in an 'engaging and empowering way' within the K-2 classroom to foster high quality teaching best practices.

AITSL aligned certification will be provided for all participants on completion.


Dr Paul Swan is an honorary fellow of the Australian College of Educational Leadership, a life member of the Mathematical Association, award-winning author, highly sought-after speaker and designer of games, programs and materials to support teachers to teach mathematics in an interesting way. He has taught in primary, secondary and tertiary settings and is now a consultant to local, national and international schools. He is a designer of mathematics manipulative materials and support materials for the top manufacturers in the world.

FAQ

Why are tickets to this event so cheap?

This event is not designed to make a profit. As a not for profit organisation, we simply seek to provide high quality access to education based Professional learning opportunities.

We have also heavily subsidised this event in thanks to our sponsors who contribute to the overall event costs.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We strongly recommend catching public transport to this event with a nearby train station (Murdoch station) and bus interchange which is a short distance from the university site. Alternatively, car pooling is a highly recommended option.

CATCHING A HIGH FREQUENCY BUS SERVICE FROM MURDOCH TRAIN STATION:

Buses: 503, 504 and 513 stop and service the front of the university accessed via South Street and also depart from Murdoch Train Station. The bus stops on this route are closest to the event location.

PARKING OPTION:

Buses: 206, 207, 850, 851, 98 and 99 service the rear of the university using the Discovery Way access road, departing from Murdoch Train Station.

Parking is accessed via South Street. If you have opted to drive, you can collect a Parking scratchie on arrival in carpark 4 (where Network Teach Staff will be waiting to provide you with a scratchie to display in your vehicle for the day between 8.30am and 9am only). This option MUST be selected during your purchase of your event ticket.

What should I bring to the event?

We strongly recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and bring your wallet/purse. ATM's and access to Wifi is also available to use on site.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Absolutely, simply contact us with the new name and email address of the attendee via our Facebook page or via email at: admin@networkteach.com.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A printed ticket is NOT REQUIRED for this event as we will simply check you in upon arrival.

What is the refund policy?

Due to the heavily discounted cost of this event, refunds are not provided for this event. We do however offer you the opportunity to on-sell your ticket. We simply need the details of the new ticket holder (full name and email address).

The event is located at the Murdoch University (South Street Campus), room: 1.005 located on the map below in building 450. Please look for the extensive red and blue signage leading to the event location from car park 4. Please enter the university via Campus Entrance B.
