Description

The Department of Health has convened a Collaborative tackling the critical health issue of overweight and obesity. The Health Consumers' Council has been working in partnership with the Department to ensure the consumer voice is front and centre of any policy and service planning.

This session is an opportunity to hear about the work done so far, and to be involved in informing what happens next.

In October 2018 there was an Obesity Summit convened to bring together government, non-government, researchers and community members. Consumer voices were integral to that event as HCC was able to share feedback from almost 800 people who took part in a survey, or shared their stories in other ways, as well as by consumers attending the event.

As this session in February there will be an opportunity to hear about the draft obesity action plan, provide feedback on the draft document before it is circulated more widely, and share your views on next steps.

The session will start at 4pm.

Organised by
