Participate in Hannah Bertram art installation
Event Information
Description
We are looking for RMIT student volunteers to work with artist Hannah Bertram and our install team to realise her work in RMIT Gallery as part of the Chaos & Order; 120 year of collecting at RMIT exhibition.
Bertram’s The Wonder of Rare Experience was acquired by the RMIT Art Collection in 2017, and will be installed as a major component of Chaos & Order.
Conceived during Hannah’s MFA at RMIT, it is an ephemeral work uses pin prick holes to create a visually subtle but complex decorative pattern on the surface of the wall.
Installation will begin on April 7, and conclude April 12, with an initial briefing at RMIT Gallery on Friday 6 April 3-4pm (attendance is mandatory). Shifts are for a minimum of 3 hours. Experience is not necessary - just enthusiasm and care – and the work is not physically taxing. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a contemporary art project.
Register if you are interested, and you will be contacted by RMIT Gallery with further details.
