Q&A: The Importance of Biodiversity

DR ANA BUGNOT, Research Assistant, UNSW Sydney
Marine ecology, community ecology, urban ecology

Dr Ana Bugnot focuses on the evaluation of the impacts of anthropogenic activities in coastal environments and the study of mitigation strategies. She has done a PhD at University of Sydney on invasion ecology and she is now evaluating eco-engendering techniques to improve biodiversity and ecosystem services on coastal infrastructure and studying large scale changes in water quality using remote sensing.

Dr Bugnot will explain diversity in depth with a focus on the importance of conserving biodiversity and preserving our beautiful habitats inclusive of recent case studies on conservation in urban environments.
