Park Ridge Quoll Discovery Day
Event Information
About this event
The spotted-tailed quoll is the largest remaining marsupial carnivore on the Australian mainland – our answer to a 'big cat' – and yet it is desperately imperilled and listed as endangered nationally. One of its last strongholds close to Brisbane is believed to be the Logan region. That's why Wildlife Queensland's Quoll Seekers Network has partnered with Park Ridge Connect to bring Logan residents a Quoll Discovery Day that will teach landholders everything they ever wanted to know about these feisty and fantastic marsupials, their preferred habitats and their nocturnal, arboreal habits.
Learn ...
- how to spot quolls and their tracks and scats
- preferred quoll habitats
- what quolls eat
- how quolls communicate, live and breed
- and what conservationists are doing to help find and save them in the Logan region
... all while enjoying light refreshments and meeting like-minded nature lovers.
You'll also have the chance to browse quoll and wildlife-themed products and even symbolically 'adopt-a-quoll' to help with conservation efforts.
Please note that in accordance with government mandates, all attendees over the age of 16 years will be required to show proof of double Covid-19 vaccination to enter.
