In these series of webinars, parents will be hearing about why play is so important for children’s healthy development and much more.
About this event
The webinars will be led by Oriana Blanco, a university-qualified early childhood teacher who has worked closely with migrant and refugee families for over 40 years.
During these 3-week one-hour sessions, we will be discussing various topics relating to play depending on the age groups e.g., Session 1 (0-2.5 years of age), Session 2 (2.5-5 years of age) and Session 3 (5-8 years of age).
Some of the topics that we will be going through includes:
- How parents can best play and interact with babies/ toddlers
- What is child led play
- Serve and return interactions
- Types of play and how play supports child development
