FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR

For parents of children 0-12 years

6.00pm - Registrations & Refreshments

6.30pm - Start

As parents in the 21st Century we know parenting is no longer about raising our children to know just their ABC’s and 123’s. Parenting means raising the whole child – supporting their educational, physical, social and emotional development. As parents we juggle behaviour management, school readiness, sporting activities and screen time allowance. And now, more than ever, we are also aware of the importance of supporting our children’s mental health as we see more of our kids struggling with anxiety and friendships.

Come along and hear from our guest speakers about the challenges and triumphs of parenting today and interact with our Q&A panel of parenting experts who support parents with these challenges.

Key note speakers:

Claire Orange - Presentation on Social & Emotional Development with a focus on Anxiety

Claire Orange is the mother of 4 boys, a therapist, author, media spokesperson, speaker and a passionate advocate for better outcomes for children everywhere. Graduating as a Speech Pathologist (B Sci Speech & Hearing Science, Hons) in the early 90’s, Claire has also completed qualifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Resilience Education, Counselling and Parenting Coaching.

Griffin Longley (Nature Play) - presentation on physical play and screen time
