Join us for these fantastic Parenting Information sessions at Richmond Library presented by Access Health & Community.

Please book carefully for each session/s you wish to attend and check age appropriateness and information for each session as listed below:-

Tuesday 11 July
All you need to know about introducing solids
At this session a Dietitian will assist you to understand when it is time to introduce solids to babies for their ongoing growth and development, the signs that tell you that your baby is ready and how best to go about it. Suitable for parents of babies 0-1.

Wednesday 12 July
Why it is so important to have your toddler’s hearing checked?
Hearing is one of the earliest and most essential senses for your toddler’s future learning and development. An undiagnosed hearing loss means that they could be missing out on their early learning. At this session an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist will talk about the types of hearing loss, how speech and language development can be affected by hearing loss and where you can get a quick and simple hearing test locally. Suitable for parents of children 1-3.

Tuesday 18 July
Why it is so important to have your baby’s hearing checked?
At this session an audiologist will focus on the development of babies’ hearing and speech.
Suitable for parents of babies 0-1.

Wednesday 19 July
Toddler feeding and nutrition – it doesn’t need to be stressful!
Many parents worry about whether their toddler is eating enough healthy food. It’s common for toddlers to eat only very small amounts, to be fussy about what they eat and to refuse to eat at all. At this session a Dietitian will focus on how best to approach feeding your toddler in a happy harmonious way.
Suitable for parents of children 1-3.

Thursday 20 July
Is my child developing as expected for their age?
In this session an Occupational Therapist and Psychologist will talk about general developmental milestones, the normal variations in development and possible red flags to look out for in 3-5 year old children.
Suitable for parents of children 3-5.

Bookings essential. You do not need to bring a ticket with you to this event. Please book for each session you wish to attend.
