Parenting Digital Kids - A Journey Towards iBalance
Fri. 21 October 2016, 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm ACDT
Parenting is, and always has been, one of the most challenging responsibilities we engage. The realities of the world in which we now live mean that it only gets more challenging with every new piece of hardware, every firmware upgrade and every Next Big Thing.
The landscape can completely flip in the space of a couple of years.
Of course you want to give your kids the best head start, yet so often their understanding of the digital age races ahead of yours. It can feel impossible to keep up, or to know the difference between what is healthy, and what is harmful.
We too care about your kids, and are passionate about putting tools into your hands that will give your kids the best chance of getting ahead.
We want to invite you to hear internationally respected speaker, consultant, teacher and author Brad Huddleston speak on important issues such as technology and culture.
Brad has worked with universities, schools, churches and law enforcement, and spoken to tens of thousands around the world on both the advantages of well-used technology tools and the dangers of the growing trend toward technology addiction. Brad has an on-going collaboration with the Bureau of Market Research (BMR) and its Neuroscience Division at the University of South Africa. He's also a frequent guest on radio and television and author of Digital Cocaine: A Journey Toward iBalance and The Dark Side of Technology: Restoring Balance in the Digital Age.
