Parent information session - PartySafe

Party Safe in Boroondara
Teenage parties get a lot of bad press, but they can be a positive aspect of your child’s social life and development. There’s no one right way to handle parties, but if you plan well and keep the lines of communication open, you can help your teenager stay safe – and have fun too.
Many parents struggle with how to set and enforce boundaries of behaviour and expectation with young people. We fear for our children’s safety, yet want them to try their wings so they become independent and responsible people.
Join the Victorian Police and Inner East Drug and alcohol service (IEDAS) to learn how to keep your young person safe during the party season. The Victoria Police Partysafe Program is about minimising the risks to safety at parties such as violence, intoxicated guests, or gate crashers so that hosts and their guests can stay safe and have fun. Inner East Drug and Alcohol Service (IEDAS) is a free service, offering specialist youth and family support for individuals affected by their own or a loved one’s substance use.
This FREE session will include an opportunity for questions.
