Event description

Description

Is your girl passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)?

As a parent or family member, you'll play an important role in supporting her as she turns her passion into a career. This information evening will give you the information you need to understand the diverse, exciting and secure career paths available to girls who study STEM.

You'll learn about:

  • What girls think about STEM subjects and what influences them
  • How to support your girl in choosing school and university subjects
  • How STEM subjects can develop critical skills that will be essential for jobs of the future
  • The career paths that are available to girls who study STEM

Murdoch University’s STEM Education researcher, Dr. Amanda Woods-McConney, will discuss an interactive two-way communication approach to learn about how to support your girl in STEM studies, and to share your own experiences of girls and STEM.
