Event description
As part of this student development, we are hosting a parent presentation on the theme of pornography and sexual health.

About this Event

At Kennedy Baptist College we place high value on the social and emotional development of the students in our care. Our commitment to delivering relevant and critical education around emerging issues is vital to healthy student development.

As part of this student development, we are hosting a parent presentation on the theme of pornography and sexual health. This presentation will focus on providing an overall picture of where the Australian youth sexual culture is in 2020 and beyond. We have sought a leading expert in this area, Christina Self, to deliver these sessions.

Topics and themes covered in this presentation include:

  • What to look for
  • Strategies to tackle issues such as body image, mental health and early onset of sexual behaviours
  • Pornography
  • How to provide support

We are asking you to partner with us by attending a parent focused information evening designed specifically for parents and guardians to help them understand the current issues students are facing and what families can do to help support their children.

Who: Parents and Guardians only (Event for 18+)

When: Wednesday 4 November from 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Where: Kennedy Baptist College Auditorium

We are excited about this presentation and look forward to the positive results and benefits it will bring to our community. If you have any questions, concerns or require clarification regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me at the College.
