Event description

Description

What’s it all about?

Have you got a bookcase full of old books you will never read again? Are you unsure what to do with them? Instead of recycling them why not try upcycling?

Upcycling is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

This fun, hands on workshop will provide you with all the materials to make your own paper masterpiece as well as the skills to take home and practise.

What will we do?

At this workshop we will experiment with different types of paper. You will then learn how to turn old books into beautiful household decorations like flowers, stars and lanterns. Soon you will be able to take a treasured book with lovely paper and reinvent it into a unique piece all on your own.

Materials are provided so you can make your own creative masterpiece.
