The content of this course is delivered electronically and face to face. Course registrants complete specified reading, lectures, activities and quizzes at home at their own pace. While on the university campus registrants will participate in small-group lectures, discussions and hands-on sessions, and will learn to expose, assess and examine images using state-of-the art digital panoramic x-ray equipment in the Dental Simulation Clinic.
This course suits the needs of dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, oral health therapists and dental assistants who seek training in panoramic radiography. It focuses on the practical aspects of panoramic imaging, delivers in-depth understanding of the image, and is approved by the South Australian EPA and by the Dental Board of Australia.
Please note that this course does not cover panoramic radiodiagnosis.
About the Presenters:
Clinical A/Prof Janet Fuss graduated from The University of Adelaide with a BScDent(Hons), a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, a clinical graduate diploma and a Master of Science. She has also undertaken studies in higher education with UNSW and advanced training in maxillofacial imaging.
Janet taught at the Adelaide School of Dentistry for more than 20 years, and has also worked for JCU and The University of Queensland.
Janet sat on numerous School, Faculty and University committees while at The University of Adelaide, and worked as the Director of CPDent Adelaide for several years. Her professional service includes 10 years on the ADA(SA) Council for ten years and a term on the Dental Board of South Australia.
Ms Angela Menadue is qualified in medical diagnostic radiography and has practised for many years in the private and public sectors. Angela has extensive experience with dental imaging, undergraduate teaching and more recently Cone Beam CT.

Registrations will be acknowledged and receipts issued. Course registrants will be contacted by email with a reminder one week prior to the course.
Cancellation of registration is required at least 14 days prior to commencement of the course and is subject to a $50.00 cancellation charge. Cancellations within 14 days will be subject to further charges.
Participants will need access to a Panoramic Machine in their own practice.
