By The Centre for Volunteering
Online event

Overview

Expand your understanding of Volunteer Recognition and the broader opportunities offered during National Volunteer Week.

As National Volunteer Week approaches, it's time to think about how you can leverage this opportunity, both for your volunteers and for your organisation.

Our expert panellists will share their thoughts and experience on the importance of this annual event, and explore the many ways to effectively recognise and appreciate volunteers.

We will talk about what recognition means - and that this can vary from volunteer to volunteer.

We will also look at how National Volunteer Week can impact your organisation in general: how it can provide opportunities to promote your volunteering programs, lead to greater visibility in the sector, and create a sense of pride for your volunteers.

Panellists to be confirmed.

Outcomes

This Panel Discussion will expand your understanding of Volunteer Recognition and the broader opportunities offered during National Volunteer Week.

You will come away with a range of ideas on the many different ways to acknowledge your volunteers and the importance of this as a tool for recogntion and retention.

In particular you will gain an understanding of how this relates to the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement, Standard 7 - Volunteers are Recognised.
