To coincide with the opening of two major exhibitions, Enough خلاص Khalas and Christian Thompson: Ritual Intimacy, a panel discussion with participants from both exhibitions will take place on Thursday 3 May.

Art, Identity and the Everyday Business of Changing the World

Enough خلاص Khalas and Ritual Intimacy, explore shared thematic concerns specifically relating to notions of identity, race and culture, nationhood and the current socio-political climate in Australia. This panel discussion brings together a diverse group of artists and curators who work in unique and powerful ways to address many of these concerns. The discussion will provide an opportunity for each panellist to discuss their work and provide perspective on how both artist and curatorial practices can question, interrupt, and provide alternative and egalitarian frames of reference to dominant paradigms. The big question is, can art and curatorial practices bring about world change?
