Despite affecting 1 in 5 Australians, chronic pain remains a mysterious and controversial health, social and economic problem.

Join the audience as we bring together a vision for the future of pain management. We'll consider research, clinical, policy, patient and advocate perspectives and imagine what a "Pain Revolution" might look like for individuals living with pain in Australia, and elsewhere.

The panel will be chaired by investigative journalist Cathryn Jakobson Ramin, author of the best-selling book "Crooked: Outwitting the Back Pain Industry and Getting on the Road to Recovery", a hard-hitting account of her investigation of the US back pain industry and her examination of the best options for people who suffer from chronic back pain. The book is available HERE.

Cathryn will be joined by the following panel:

Dr Paul Dugdale, Acting Executive Director of Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care

Professor Lorimer Moseley, Professor of Clinical Neurosciences and head of the Body in Mind Research group at University of South Austalia

Carol Bennett, CEO, Pain Australia

Dianne Wilson, Australian Physiotherapy Association, Chair of Pain Special Interest group

Ellyn Bicknell, Chronic Pain Experiencer

Dr Roopa Gawarikar, Pain Specialist
