Description

Target Participants: Intended for speech pathologists who provide paediatric feeding intervention as part of their regular caseloads. Participants should have some knowledge and experience of speech pathology practice in paediatric feeding.


Intended Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will have:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current evidence and service provision models
  • Understanding of appropriate individual and group treatment programs for feeding intervention including commencement of oral intake, and working towards tube weaning
  • Enhanced ability to undertake goal setting, feeding therapy, education and follow up in individual and group feeding therapy
  • Knowledge about training and utilising auxiliary team members in feeding intervention
  • Increased understanding of supportive technology and its utilisation in feeding services

This seminar is part 1 of a series. Further topics will include tube weaning, to be held at a date TBA.
