Join our Oxfam trailwalker NIGHT training walk 2016!

Just do it! Getting out and walking is the best form of training for the event.

Oxfam Trailwalker Perth Ambassador, Hannes Holly, will be leading a series of monthly training walks and we recommend you get on-board! Hannes is a past Oxfam Trailwalker participant and Qualified Nordic walking instructor at Nordic walking WA (www.facebook.com/nordicwalkingwa )

Our walks will help you to get ready for the upcoming challenge, we can help you to prevent injuries and cross the finish line! Join Hannes for a endurance event preparation walk and find out about: Technique training, including walking uphill and downhill Benefits and techniques for walking with poles Equipment advice on shoes, clothing etc Pole walking ( Test/ Hire $5pp limited availablity)

Walk : John Forrest National Park/ Swan view. Meet car park Cnr Morrison Rd/ Pechey Rd 16:45pm for 17:00pm Start on Saturday July 30th ( Not the Eagle view trail)

Walk is approx 13-15km 3-4 hours in hilly terrain. This is a great chance for you to get to know your team mates and get ready for the challenge.

Walk is not marked or sign posted, we choose a moderate walking speed for everyone to follow. If you decide to leave the group and walk ahead you do so at YOUR OWN RISK.

What to bring: At least 1 litre of water Comfortable shoes for bushwalking a light backpack for food and water a few snacks such as muesli bars, fruit or a sandwich. HEAD LAMP (Compulsory!!) No Lamp No walk

This Agreement is made between the Trainer and you in relation to participating in personal/group strength,fitness and conditioning training (the‘Activity’). ‘Trainer’means‘ Nordic walking Westren Australia Registered Businesses,being Hannes Holly and Naomi Holly as trustee of Holly Family Trust of 28 John Farrant Drive Gooseberry Hill,Perth 6076. ‘Activity’ includes related advice.

I acknowledge that I will be participating in the Activity that at my own risk. I agree to indemnify and keep indemnified and release the Trainer, their agents, affiliates, employees, members, sponsors, promoters and any person or body directly and indirectly associated with the Trainer, in respect of all liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others) claims, demands, and proceeding arising out of or connected with my participation in the Activity. I acknowledge that participating in the Activity may involve a risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including but without limiting the generality of the foregoing overexertion, Dehydration, equipment failure and accidents with equipment and surroundings.

I recognise the difficulties associated with the Activity and accept the risks.I am not aware of any medical condition, injury or impairment that will be detrimental to my health if I participate in the Activity and myTrainer will be immediately informed if the status changes. I accept photographic images or videos may be taken during the event and can be used for promtional purposes.All rights lay by the owner.

I certify that I am 18 years or older and have read this Agreement and fully understand it; or As a parent or guarding of a minor or person with a disability,(a) I agree to the above for myself and on behalf of my charge and (b) I indemnify and will keep indemnified the Trainer in the manner described above.
