Sam Wood is one of Australia's leading fitness experts and a personal trainer with over 18 years’ experience. You may know him as the Bachelor from Season 3, where Australia watched him fall in love with his now-wife Snezana.

Sam has a refreshingly honest and relatable take on all things health and fitness. He is the founder of 28 by Sam Wood, a program he developed to support and educate people to create genuine change and sustainable results on their fitness journey.

GMHBA has partnered with Sam and his nutritionist Steph Wearne to present "Overcoming barriers to physical exercise & de-bunking food myths". During the course of the seminar, Sam and Steph will explore the below topics.

Overcoming barriers to physical exercise:

- Have a purpose (your why)

- Have a goal that is in line with your purpose

- Keep things real and start slow

- Short consistent workouts will beat volume every day

- Don't let a missed workout or bad day be the end. It's how you bounce back that will define your journey

De-bunking food myths:

- Myth #1 - Clean eating is the perfect way to eat

- Myth #2 - Sugar is the devil

- Myth #3 - You need to cut out carbs to lose weight

- Myth #4 - Skipping a meal means fewer calories which is good for weight loss
