Wednesday 26 July, 2017

5pm - 9pm

Bellevue on the Lakes, Lakes Entrance

Free entry - dinner provided

In early 2017, East Gippsland community champions worked with the East Gippsland Ice Prevention Working Group to develop a map that unpacks the factors that play a part in why people use drugs and alcohol.

We want to hear your ideas!

Please come along to identify local actions that support our young people and prevent substance misuse in our community.

Guest speakers will provide presentations on addiction, outline why people use drugs and alcohol, and how our community can work together to prevent drug use. See the event flyer for more information about our speakers.

This forum will focus on prevention rather than treatment. Prevention looks at how we can strengthen support for young people through education, sport, cultural and other activities. For information about where to go to for help with addiction, please click here.

Registration essential. Please register by 5pm on 18 July.

This event was organised by the East Gippsland Ice Prevention Working Group, as funded by the East Gippsland Mental Health Initiative and within Australia.
