Our Collective Mental Health in Frames
Event Information
About this event
Our Collective Mental Health in Frames night constitutes a comprehensive series of video interviews featuring diverse communities in society, with a focus on mental health in marginalised groups.
Why are we spotlighting mental health within diverse marginalised groups? Well, did you know that women experiencing mental illness, disability or refugee status are among society’s most vulnerable and oppressed groups (Black Dog Institute, 2021)? Thus, the mission of our event is to feature many diverse groups to provide a platform to help challenge and overcome stigmatised ideologies that are provoking ill mental health. In addition to the above, other important groups being featured include:
- Multicultural youth
- Health professionals
- Individuals enduring Mental health issues
- Elite athletes
- University students and staff members.
Date: Thursday the 3rd of February, 2022
