Description

The Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner (OSBC) recognises that Councils are key change-makers in their local economies. That’s why OSBC’s ‘Small Business Friendly Councils’ initiative supports local governments to support small businesses. It provides information, resources, and networking opportunities to help Councils build and maintain a flourishing local business community. Since its inception in 2014, over half of all Councils in NSW have been active participants in the initiative.

OSBC is now taking Small Business Friendly Councils on the road, with a series of regional workshops with Council representatives scheduled between March and May 2018. The workshops will include a mix of interesting guest speakers, informative sessions on topics of interest to your region, as well as focused roundtable discussions on key upcoming Small Business Friendly Councils projects.

OSBC is determined to make Small Business Friendly Councils as accessible to the local government sector as possible, and encourages Councils to register staff members to workshops happening in their area.

Participation in the workshops is completely free.

For enquiries regarding access and dietary requirements for attendees, or any further queries, please contact Liz Gemes, Senior Advisor, Advocacy & Strategic Projects: liz.gemes@smallbusiness.nsw.gov.au, 02 8222 4817.
