Description

The Orientation Community and Volunteering day is an annual event held by the Adelaide University Union held during O'Week. This event aims to create awareness for opportunities in volunteering within the local community to demonstrate to new studnets the ways they can get involved.

We are offering charity and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to connect directly with students on campus for a heavily discounted rate during the orientation period. This will provide opportunity for you to promote your organisation and communicate available volunteering opportunities along with the benefits of being involved.

An estimated 800-1200 students will attend the event, which will be held indoors with in the popular Hub Central precinct.

Please register and pay for your organisation's stall in order to attend the event.

**Early Bird stalls ** Until January 16, or until sold out, a number of stalls will be sold at the Early Bird price of $250 + GST. Get in quick, once this allocation has sold out stalls will sell at regular price of $300+ GST.

Public Liability Insurance- You will be required to forward your public liability insurance certificate to event organisers at the conclusion of your stall booking. Organisations will not receivce further event information unless Public Liability has been received.


FAQs

How do I get involved in the event raffle?
The Community and Volunteering Day gives attendees the opportunity to win a range of different prizes by engaging with stalls to validate their passport/raffle card. Each stall will be given a stamp to validate student raffle tickets. If you would like to dontate a prize, and gain extra promotion for your organisation, register your involvement on the booking form and a member of our team will contact you.

What if my organisation can only attend part of the event?
We do ask that stalls are staffed for the duration of the event (3 hours). Should your organisation be unable to attend under these circumstances please feel free to contact us regaridng other on-campus options.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The event is based on the North Terrace Campus (University of Adelaide) and accessible by public transprot. There is no parking available on campus, however pay-parking is available on Frome Road and North Terrace. Once you have registered for the event, you will recieve a detailed briefing.

What do I need to bring to the event?
We encourage all organisations to decorate their stall by bringing pull up banners, posters and table cloths. In order to make your stall as engaging as possible we suggest you bring giveaways, lollies and information brochures for event attendees.
Please also bring with you fixtures to set up your stall such as velcro (hook side), gaffa tape, masking tape, scissors and pins. You will be provided with 1x trestle table, 2x chairs and a backing board.
