Program Objective:

PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness.

The workshops are interactive and provide ample time for discussion through case presentations and examples (some aspects of the program may change due to circumstances beyond our control).

Intended workshop audience: ALL Health Professional (Doctors, Nurses - Registered, Endorsed Enrolled and Enrolled, Allied Health) across alll settings with limited/moderate paediatric palliative care experience.

Areas covered include: Paediatric Palliative Care; Role of Social Work at Bear Cottage & Footprints in the Sand; Allied Health; Referrals/Eligibility; Common Conditions/Symptoms; Case Studies; Bear Cottage History; overview of PEPA and placement opportunities.

Further information:

  • An email confirming registration to attend will be sent from PEPA to participants.
  • Please note that places are limited and registration is essential.
  • TICKET issued in 'good faith' that you meet the necessary criteria/target group for this session. Those not meeting the criteria/target group will be contacted by PEPA NSW to cancel their ticket.
  • Registration opens approximately 15 minutes prior to start time.
