Seminar Synopsis:

Effective presentation of research results is a key component of research translation, a moral responsibility to undertake for your research participants, funders and institution, and an opportunity to get important feedback. This seminar includes a range of tips on choosing and organising materials, delivery styles and techniques, preparing for questions, gaining confidence, and how to run a session effectively.

There are three ways you can attend the seminar:

1. Attend in-person at Perth Children's Hospital, PCH Auditorium, Level 5 (MAP)

2. Watch online from a hosted video-conference location:

  • Fiona Stanley Hospital
  • Lion's Eye Institute (QEII - LEI Staff only)
  • Royal Perth Hospital

3. Online video-stream via Avaya Workplace

The Research Education Program (REP) is an open access resource provided by the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS), Department of Research and is generously supported by the PCH Foundation. The Program provides valuable educational resources to support staff and students of any clinical discipline and level of experience to undertake high quality, meaningful research.

The Program includes the Research Skills Seminar Series, REDCap workshops and resources and the Clinical Audit Handbook.

Organiser of Oral Presentation of Research Results

The CAHS Research Education Program presents the Research Skills Seminar Series, hosted by the Child and Adolescent Health Service and supported by the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.

We offer free, open-access learning opportunities on key topics across the research process, with comprehensive handouts including additional information and resources. All our Seminars can be attended during your lunch-hour and are broadcast live online through various hosted video-conference sites, and available for viewing on your PC or personal device via the Avaya Workplace application. Access past past recordings on our website, download a copy of the schedule.
