We're ending 2018 with a WOW!

Join our fabulous emcee, Melissa Dunbar from Big Fish Events Group, at the beautiful Adelaide Oval to hear inspirational stories from four inspirational women who broke through to realise their achievements. You will be inspired to Opt In to life's opportunities and Stand Out.

Speakers from 2pm. Drinks and nibbles from 4.30pm. We hope you will stay and celebrate with us our final event for the year!

Rebekha Sharkie MP

The Federal Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie, is a politician of firsts. She was the first Nick Xenophon Team (now known as Centre Alliance) member to be elected to the House of Representatives; the first non-conservative politician to represent the once safe Liberal electorate of Mayo since it was created in 1984; and the first woman to represent her part of regional South Australia since Federation.

She is the Centre Alliance spokesperson for Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Education, Family and Community Services, Disability Services, Housing, Indigenous Affairs, Youth, Arts, Sport, Women and Animal Welfare.

Elaine Bensted

Elaine Bensted is Chief Executive, Zoos South Australia commencing 3rd September 2012. Since being in the role Elaine has led an improvement in the financial position of this conservation charity and an increase in Zoos SA membership base from 26,000 to over 43,000. She also led the work that culminated in the release of a 20 year Master Plan for both Adelaide and Monarto Zoos in early 2015.

Prior to being appointed as Chief Executive, Zoos South Australia Elaine held the position of Chief Executive, Office of TAFE SA.
Elaine’s qualifications include an MBA and a Masters in Public Policy and Management as well as qualifications in finance. She has experience in both the private and public sector in management, marketing and community engagement.

Jess Trengove

Jess’ rise in Australian distance running was meteoric with victories in Adelaide’s City Bay Fun Run, Australian Cross Country Championships, the Melbourne Marathon Half Marathon and Sydney’s iconic City2Surf. These road and cross-country races built a strong foundation for her brave debut at the marathon distance in Nagoya Japan, March 2012.

When she is not pounding the pavement Jess works as a Physiotherapist, where she is particularly interested in biomechanical imbalances and their functional implications. Intelligent and articulate, yet humble in nature, Jess attributes her success quite simply to her love of running, disciplined approach to training, and the strong support she receives from family, friends, her coach Adam Didyk and training group Team Tempo.

Bronwyn Klei

Bronwyn Klei is not only a leader, she is something of a ground breaker – one of the very few Australian women who heads up a major men’s sporting team.As General Manager of the Adelaide Strikers T20 cricket teams – women’s and men’s –Bronwyn has helped create a successful, high-profile sporting business which attracts an average of 40,000 people to each home game with over one million more watching on TV.

Actually, that’s only part of her role at the South Australian Cricket Association. She is also General Manager of Events, Sales and Commercial, responsible for a multi-million dollar income stream. As well, Bronwyn has her own company – Sunstone Coaching – which focuses on helping young women to better navigate through the business world. In her spare time, Bronwyn is Deputy Chair of Sport SA and President of both the Adelaide Hills Netball Association and the Aldgate Netball Club – where she still plays and umpires!Twice a Telstra Business Woman of the Year Finalist, Bronwyn has two lovely daughters and a husband who generally does what he’s told.
