To ensure you are updated on this, please create an OTAC account and consider completing the Fundamental Training prerequisite short-course prior.

Alternatively, you can opt to complete the online version of the OTAC, which is made available on the course portal when you have completed the Fundamental Training short-course. This online version is a self-complete set of modules that you can undertake at your own pace.

Do I need to attend for the whole day?

Yes, to meet the requirements of this accreditation course you MUST attend for the entire day. For those online via webinar, this will be monitored to ensure you are online and you will be expected to interact with other participants and the facilitators on the day. We have provided several opportunities for breaks throughout the day.

If extenuating circumstances require you to leave early or you foresee this prior to the day, please contact the Course Coordinator. Failure to do so may result in you not meeting the requirements of the course.

Do I need to prepare for anything before the day?

You be provided with relevant materials for the course day (e.g., course booklets, guidelines, letter of instruction, etc). For those attending via webinar, we will contact you to request a suitable mailing address to receive these materials. Other than that, we suggest you bring along a pen and some additional writing paper.

Please also ensure that you connect to the webinar with a device that has audio and video capabilities; the course requires your active participation and so both are required throughout the day.

Are there any face-to-face OTAC sessions available?

Currently we are operating this OTAC session by teleconference using Zoom. We do anticipate some future courses for 2021 will allow face-to-face participation, in line with COVID-19 requirements.
