Event Details

Stalked: The Human Target is a detailed account of the effects of stalking. Rachel Cassidy, herself the target of a stalker, tells the stories of people who have been pursued by stalkers and the devastating effects on their lives. Sadly the current stalking statistics are 1.6 million women and 663.800 men in Australia are stalked in their lifetime.

Rachel is joined by former ABC reporter Parthena Stavropulos to discuss Stalked: The Human Target and the issue of stalking within the community.

Rachel Cassidy has been involved in the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years, working with various causes for the health and wellbeing of women and children. She is the CEO of  Stop Stalking Now Foundation Ltd, which provides public awareness and education to support victims across Australia who have been stalked, targeted or bullied. Rachel has received considerable support and recognition from the Australian government for her contribution to the community as a finalist in the Australian of the Year awards and has also appeared in the Who’s Who of Australian Women.

Parthena Stavropoulos is a former ABC reporter. Parthena started her exciting career as a young court reporter and her varied roles include working as a location reporter, an executive producer, chief of staff and 7pm producer.
