Online Workshop: Nature Photography for Children and Teens

About this Event
Want to be a nature photographer or simply snap some great pics on your next bushwalk? Learn tricks of the trade and practice looking at the world with an artistic eye at this online photography workshop.
Using your point and shoot device (camera, smartphone, or tablet), participants will be guided through fun photography challenges that spark creativity. Experiment taking pics of mini-beasts, museum specimens, and treasures from your garden.
Part of the workshop will involve a virtual tour of our fantastic 2020 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world through stunning images by professional, emerging and junior photographers.
This interactive workshop will inspire participants to explore, focus, capture, and share moments in time that have the power to stir emotion and conservation of the wonderful world around us.
Cost: FREE with Creative Kids voucher or $100 per child. Price includes GST and individual activity pack that will be posted to participants for use during the workshop and is yours to keep! Pack includes macro lens attachment for smartphone or tablet, kaleidoscope mirrors, lens cloth, peacock feather, crystal, and photography challenge card.

Time: 10:30am-11:30am
Where: Online. A Zoom link/Meeting ID will be sent to registered emails closer to event date.
Equipment required:
- Computer with internet connection to join the online workshop through Zoom
- Point and shoot device such as a camera, smartphone or tablet
- Hat for venturing outside
- Torch
- All the other resources will be provided in the activity pack that will be posted to you prior to workshop.
