We hear a lot about trauma informed care and the importance of this model in working with AOD clients – many of whom present with a history of significant trauma.
This presentation will:

Provide strategies to implement trauma informed care into your organisation and practice

Presenter: Dr Tamsin Short.
Tamsin is a clinical and forensic psychologist and qualified alcohol and drug counsellor. She is a current member of the Change Agent Network and was part of the recent Trauma-Informed Care project undertaken by the Change Agent Network in Victoria. Tamsin has worked with complex clients in a range of settings, including alcohol and drug services, community mental health, prisons, forensic mental health, and community health. Tamsin has a particular interest working with complex clients who present with co-occurring conditions such as mental illness, personality disorder and forensic issues, and also enjoys delivering training and providing secondary consultations. Tamsin is currently the Executive Director of Alcohol and Other Drug Services at Connect4Health – a partnership between the three community health services of Access Health and Community, Carrington Health and Link Health and Community.
