CORE SKILLS FOR QUALITY LEADERS – COMMUNICATION SKILLS

In people-focused industries like Education, Health, and Community Services, the assumption is often made that the skills needed to be a good leader are innate to people in leadership roles.  The lived experience challenges that assumption. This session supports leaders to reconnect with what constitutes good communication and how it shifts and changes in the context of leadership.

IN THIS SESSION WE WILL EXPLORE:

  • Listening skills for leadership
  • Models for communicating effectively
  • Speaking with influence
  • Writing strategically (including emails and social media)
  • Targeting communication for different audiences

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This series covers foundational level skills for new or emerging leaders.
