Online | 5-Week Social Anxiety Group for High Schoolers 16+
Overview
Join us online and connect with others in a safe space, where you will develop skills to manage social anxiety. The group meets weekly over 5 weeks, running every Tuesday from March 24 - April 21 from 4-5pm.
In this program, you will:
- Understand how social anxiety works
- Develop insight into thinking, feeling and behavioural aspects of the problem
- Learn ways of managing unhelpful thinking styles and unhelpful behaviours that can perpetuate the problem
- Practice helpful skills and behaviours in a supported way through group interaction and practice tasks in between sessions
Prospective participants may be asked to undergo a brief eligibility screening to ensure that the group aligns with their current needs and goals.
In addition to the group sessions, we offer free individual counselling for both adults and children. This additional support is available for those interested in one-on-one sessions to complement their group experience.
You must be in Australia at the time of the group. There is no cost or Medicare referral needed. Self-referrals are welcome, so please get in touch today at clinic@acap.edu.au.
